How do I know if my event venue is suitable for a robot?
Complete our enquiry form or call us at +372 511 3685
We will discuss your event requirements and assess whether our robots can operate safely at your venue.
Ideally, please send us a few photos or a short video showing the venue layout, floor surfaces and available space.
This helps us recommend the most suitable robot and plan its operation.
What tasks can BellaBot and KettyBot perform in restaurants?
BellaBot can transport food from the kitchen to designated tables, help collect used dishes and assist restaurant staff with routine delivery tasks.
KettyBot can welcome guests, guide visitors to selected locations and display menus, advertisements and promotional information on its screens.
The available functions depend on the robot model and restaurant layout.
What type of venue layout is suitable for service robots?
Roborent service robots work best in indoor environments with level, stable flooring.
Suitable surfaces may include:
- Tile and stone floors
- Smooth wooden floors
- Other firm, even surfaces
- Certain low-pile carpets
Robots cannot climb stairs, and wet, uneven or slippery surfaces should be avoided.
Before installation, we assess the venue to ensure safe and efficient navigation.
How do service robots navigate around restaurants?
BellaBot and KettyBot use advanced navigation technology, including sensors and cameras, to detect obstacles and move through their surroundings.
Depending on the model, their navigation systems may include LiDAR and 3D sensors.
These technologies help robots follow programmed routes, detect people and objects, and navigate suitable indoor spaces.
What is the minimum aisle width required for a service robot?
We generally recommend a clear passage width of at least 70 cm for robot operation.
The exact space required depends on the robot model, turning areas, furniture arrangement and operating environment.
Roborent can assess your venue before installation.
How quickly can a robot stop if someone steps in front of it?
Service robots are equipped with sensors that detect obstacles and help them slow down or stop when necessary.
The response depends on the robot model, speed, sensor coverage and surrounding conditions.
Although the robots are designed for safe indoor navigation, their operating areas should remain free from unnecessary obstacles.
Can service robots take food orders?
No. BellaBot and KettyBot do not independently take customer food orders as part of Roborent’s standard service.
Their main functions include food delivery, guest guidance, promotional activities and other service tasks.
Can service robots open doors between the kitchen and dining area?
No. BellaBot and KettyBot cannot independently open conventional doors.
Their routes should be planned so that doors are open or staff can assist when necessary.
How much space does a robot need between tables and chairs?
We recommend allowing approximately 70 cm or more of clear space, depending on the robot model and venue layout.
Additional space may be necessary for turning and navigating around obstacles.
Can service robots operate in outdoor cafés or on terraces?
BellaBot and KettyBot are primarily designed for indoor operation.
Outdoor use is generally not recommended because uneven surfaces, moisture and weather conditions may affect performance.
Robots have been used in suitable event tents, but each location must be assessed individually.
Contact Roborent to discuss your venue.
Can service robots climb stairs?
No. BellaBot and KettyBot cannot climb stairs.
They require accessible routes on the same floor. If robots need to operate on different floors, suitable lift access and additional planning may be required.
What happens if we change the table layout in our restaurant or event venue?
If the furniture arrangement or operating environment changes significantly, the robot’s navigation map or routes may need to be updated.
Contact Roborent at +372 511 3685 and we will help assess and adjust the robot’s configuration.
Can a service robot work in a restaurant without fixed table numbers?
For automatic delivery to specific tables, the robot needs clearly defined destinations.
If a restaurant does not use fixed table numbers, alternative delivery points or operating arrangements may be possible.
Roborent can help determine the most suitable setup.
How long does a service robot battery last?
Battery life depends on the robot model, operating mode and intensity of use. Under suitable conditions, service robots can operate for several hours on a single charge, with some configurations offering approximately 8–10 hours of operation.
KettyBot can return to a compatible charging station when properly configured. BellaBot can be charged using its designated charging equipment. Charging arrangements and battery specifications should be confirmed for the selected model.
How much does it cost to rent or buy a service robot?
BellaBot rental starts from €390 + VAT and KettyBot rental from €350 + VAT for 4 hours. Transportation costs are additional.
The final rental price depends on the robot model, rental duration, event location and any additional services required.
For robot purchases, pricing depends on the model and configuration.
