Amazon will end production of its Astro for Business robot on September 25, issuing a full refund and $300 credit to buyers.
The company is now focusing on home robotics. The termination of production will not result in layoffs, as employees will be involved in the development of robotics designed at home.
Amazon hinted at a possible successor to Astro for Home, emphasizing its commitment to consumer robotics.
Astro for Business bots cannot be reused for home use. Current Astro for Business users will receive refunds and additional support credits. When Astro Secure subscriptions end, unused fees will be refunded.
