Apple is developing an AI-powered search feature for Siri, internally called “World Knowledge Answers.” The tool will deliver AI-generated web summaries with text, photos, videos, and points of interest, challenging rivals like OpenAI and Perplexity. Bloomberg reports Apple has a formal deal to test Google’s Gemini model for Siri, though it may also use its own AI or Anthropic’s Claude for other functions. The upgraded Siri is expected to launch with iOS 26.4 in March 2026, following the iPhone 17 reveal next week.
