Stellantis is jumping into the robotaxi race with a new collaboration involving Nvidia, Foxconn, and Uber. Under the plan, Stellantis will build the vehicles, Nvidia and Foxconn will provide self-driving hardware and integration, and Uber will deploy the robotaxis on its ride-hailing platform.
The vehicles — including models based on Stellantis’s K0 Medium Van and STLA Small platforms — will use Nvidia’s Drive AGX Hyperion 10 autonomous system. Production is set to begin in 2028, with 5,000 robotaxis launching first in the US, then expanding globally.
While the deal highlights “collaboration,” it largely reflects supplier partnerships, as Uber also plans to host other robotaxi brands like Waymo and Volkswagen on its platform.
