The company Humane has been developing the mysterious AI Pin device for years. The official presentation of this device is on November 9 and according to the already leaked information, the gadget will cost about 699 dollars. In addition, the additional monthly payment 24 USD for using the service must also be taken into account.
The public saw the new device first in the hands of company co-founder Imran Chaudhri at this year’s TED presentation. In the presentation, he used the then-unnamed device to take a phone call, get information about where to buy a gift, translate a sentence, which is then spoken in French by an AI-generated version of his voice.
What is known so far is that the AI Pin is a small screenless device about the size of a saltine cracker, with a camera, microphone and speaker, various sensors and a laser projector. It attaches magnetically to clothes. It has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chip, which gives it smartphone-level speed, connectivity, camera capabilities, and security.
AI Pin’s artificial intelligence functions are powered by a patented model. The device uses a mixture of proprietary software and OpenAI GPT.
