Adobe has launched its Firefly Video Model, bringing generative AI tools to video editing. The new features, including Generative Extend in Premiere Pro, allow users to extend footage by up to two seconds and smooth audio transitions.
Adobe also launched Text-to-Video and Image-to-Video tools in beta on the Firefly web app, allowing users to generate short video clips from text descriptions or images. These tools are currently limited to 720p resolution and five-second clips, but they are “commercially safe” for use, unlike some competitors.
The announcement was made at Adobe’s MAX conference alongside other AI features.
