Google is reportedly developing an AI tool, codenamed “Jarvis,” to automate common web tasks like research, shopping and booking flights. Jarvis is designed to “take over” Chrome, executing commands by analyzing screenshots and performing actions like clicking and typing.
Although slower due to its cloud processing, Jarvis aims to simplify web interactions significantly. Expected to debut as part of Google’s Gemini 2.0 release in December, it may first be available to Gemini Advanced subscribers. However, questions remain about whether Jarvis will provide genuine research assistance or serve as another channel for sponsored content.
