Former Android leaders, including Hugo Barra and David Singleton, have launched a startup called /dev/agents to create an operating system for AI agents. The company aims to simplify the development of autonomous digital assistants, likening it to an “Android-like moment for AI.”

Their cloud-based platform will support AI agents working seamlessly across devices, focusing on new UI patterns, privacy models and developer tools. Key team members include former Google, Meta and Xiaomi executives, bringing expertise from Android, AR/VR and design.
