Google has launched Gemini 2.0, marking a leap in AI capabilities with agentic AI designed for problem-solving and action implementation. The Gemini 2.0 Flash experimental model is now available, offering faster performance and advanced multimodal output that integrates text, audio and imagery. Developers can access advanced modes, while a chat-optimized version is available on the web and soon in the app.

Agentic AI efforts include upgrades to Project Astra, enhancing tools like Google Lens with better language support, contextual memory and integration with Google services. Gemini 2.0 also powers Project Mariner, an interactive Chrome tool in early development and Jules, an AI coding assistant with GitHub integration.

Google promises more innovative uses for Gemini, from gaming enhancements to other flexible applications in the coming year.
