Robot cleaners have come a long way, evolving from simple vacuums to multi-functional devices. At CES, companies introduced quirky upgrades:

Dreame X50 Ultra: Can “climb stairs” but only up to 2.4 inches—far below real stair heights—making its utility limited.

Saros Z70: Features an arm to move small items like socks and sandals, returning to clean missed areas. While novel, it’s not practical enough to justify the added cost and complexity.

SwitchBot K20+ Pro: A multifunctional robot that carries fans, follows you with an iPad, patrols with a camera and delivers drinks if someone else preps them. Its table attachment even works as an air purifier.
While inventive, many of these features feel more like gimmicks than game-changers. Pricing and availability remain unknown.
