Elon Musk announced that Tesla plans to expand its robotaxi service to cities in Florida, Nevada, Arizona, and California, despite regulatory and technical hurdles. The company is also testing Full Self-Driving (Supervised) in Europe and China, and developing a new version of its Optimus robot. Musk predicted that 50% of Americans will have robotaxi access by year-end and that fully autonomous driving could arrive by 2025. However, older Tesla vehicles with HW3 hardware likely won’t support this, and costly upgrades may be required. Regulatory approval remains a major challenge for the rollout.
