OpenAI has signed a massive $300B, five-year cloud computing deal with Oracle, one of the largest in history. The contract starts in 2027 and follows their joint plan to build 4.5 GW of data centers under the Stargate project. OpenAI, expecting $12.7B in 2025 revenue, is also reportedly spending $10B with Broadcom to design custom AI chips. Oracle says multi-billion-dollar cloud contracts like this boosted its infrastructure revenue 77% in Q1, pushing Larry Ellison to the top of the world’s richest list.
