AT&T is testing a new AI-powered “digital receptionist” to block spam and fraud calls. The tool answers unknown calls, asks who’s calling and why, then decides whether to forward, block, or take a message. Users can watch live transcripts, pick up anytime, and create a “Do Not Screen” list for trusted numbers. Built into AT&T’s network, it requires no app, won’t drain battery, and can even handle simple tasks like confirming delivery windows.
