Home robots may still feel like sci-fi, but one niche task is becoming reality. Startup Weave is now offering the Isaac 0, a stationary robot that folds laundry. It costs about $8,000 to buy or $450 per month to rent, with initial availability limited to California’s Bay Area.

The robot can fold a load of clothes in 30–90 minutes and improves over time, but it isn’t fully autonomous. Remote human operators step in briefly when it encounters tricky garments, meaning people may view your home through its cameras.

Isaac 0 also has clear limitations — it struggles with large items like blankets and sheets, and overall performance appears mixed based on early demos.
