Machine learning may be the key to finding extraterrestrial life

The search for extraterrestrial intelligent life took a big step forward thanks to the development in machine learning. In an article published by Nature Astronomy, researchers from the University of Toronto shared a machine learning method that makes it possible
to process sound signals from space obtained during the Breakthough Listen project.

SETI scientists assume that aliens use the same radio waves
to communicate just like people on earth. Using machine learning, interesting frequencies can be sorted out more easily.
