Microsoft’s Bing chatbot was asked if Google’s chatbot Bard was shut down, and Bing’s AI said yes. Bing proved its point with news of a Twitter tweet asking Bard when it would be closing, and Bard replied that it had already closed. Bard actually quoted a Hacker News comment where someone made fun of it.

As of now, Bing has changed its answer and correctly answers that the competitor Bard is still working.

What happened shows that in the future, robotic AI bots are unlikely to be able to immediately filter out false information. In this way, someone can maliciously create a flood of false information in the future.
