Masters, probably the best application in the golf world, will get an important addition this year in cooperation with the technology company IBM and Augusta National – video broadcasts will be commented by the voice of artificial intelligence trained for this purpose.
To do this, IBM and Masters are integrating a language model that recognizes specific golf terms and delivers a human-like quality broadcast of any video stream you want to watch through the app.
An voice model named American Henry, curated by a IBM Watson language model, was chosen as the commentator’s accent. As a result, the speech of the AI changes according to the situation and what has been said before, and is therefore similar to the comments given by a human.
