Scientists have begun developing edible computer chips that would control drug robots that move around the human body. These robots allow drugs to be delivered to precisely the right place before being safely digested.
According to the researchers, similar robots can also be used to deliver medicines or vital nutrients to animals.
Soft robots that can work inside the human body are a popular area of research at the moment. Currently, these robots are remotely controlled from outside the body using magnets. However, new edible computer chips are taking precision drug delivery to a new level.
