OpenAI has officially launched a standalone ChatGPT app for the Apple iOS platform that is free to download and use. After some time, there are plans to bring a similar application to Google Android smartphones as well.
The ChatGPT app makes it easy to chat with the bot on the go and supports things like voice input, which runs on the company’s open-source Whisper speech recognition model. The ChatGPT app also syncs your chat history from the ChatGPT web version and other devices when you’re signed in with your account.
Paid ChatGPT Plus subscribers get access to the updated GPT-4 version, early access to new features and faster response time through the app.
As of now, iOS users can download the app from the Apple US App Store.
