At the Computex exhibition in Taipei, Nvidia showed how it is possible to integrate artificial intelligence into future computer games. In this way, it is possible to talk to the created characters in the game, not with the help of predetermined phrases, but by chatting in a free form.

Instead of clicking on dialog options, you can simply hold down a computer key and say something with your voice and get a response from a video game character. Nvidia called it a “peek into the future of video games.”

The demo was created by Nvidia and its partner Convai to help promote the tool used to create it, the Nvidia ACE (Avatar Cloud Engine) software. The entire ACE suite includes, among other things, the company’s NeMo tools for running large language models (LLM).
