OpenAI announced that ChatGPT users no longer need to create an account to use the service. Users without an account will not be able to access some features if they choose to use the service without registering.

The chatbot experience is completely different if you don’t create an account to use ChatGPT. For example, you can’t save or review your chat history, share chats, or use advanced features like voice chats and custom directions.

OpenAI can use your conversations with ChatGPT to improve its models. However, this can be turned off via settings whether you create an account or not.

“We’ve also implemented additional content protection measures for this experience, such as blocking prompts and generations in broader categories,” the company said.
