Deutsche Telekom is developing an AI Phone powered by Perplexity chatbot and Magenta AI, set to launch later this year. Announced at MWC, the device focuses on voice control for tasks like booking flights and shopping, eliminating the need for apps. It integrates AI tools from Perplexity, Google Cloud AI, ElevenLabs, and Picsart. Some features will also be available on other smartphones via the MeinMagenta app. The AI Phone, expected in the second half of 2024, appears to be a budget-to-midrange Android device with a simple design.
