According to a new report, Apple’s AI-powered smart glasses have been delayed and are now expected to launch by the end of 2027 instead of early 2027.
The glasses are designed to compete with Meta’s smart eyewear and serve as a hardware platform for Siri and AI-powered visual features. Meanwhile, a lighter and more affordable successor to the Apple Vision Pro, reportedly called the Vision Air, could arrive in late 2028 or 2029. Apple is said to be taking extra time to refine both products, with a strong focus on AI capabilities, design and broader consumer appeal.
